Mr. Frank Wolf visited on Jan. 24th 2015 to Erbil to inspect the conditions of the displaced People and to have a look closely at their problems and suffering, where his visit included the attending to dinner hosted by Mr. Kanna, the member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in his home, by the attendance of Mr. Ashur Eskrya, the president of the Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq the meeting was attended also by Mr. Johnny Yacob, the member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament and Mr. Kaldo Ogana member of the Central Committee of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, and Bishop Avak Asadourean head of the Armenian Orthodox community in Iraq and the Archbishop of Iraq Council.

The meeting discussed the situation of displaced People in general, and particularly the genocide that our people are facing by the terrorist organization of ISIS.

 

On Jan. 25th 2015 morning, Mr. Frank Wolf went to the headquarters of the Assyrian Women Union in Erbil and overviewed to the Union's activities and met a number of displaced families who living in the Building Union.

The delegation also visited the Assyrian Secondary School of Ur in Erbil and listened briefly on the process of the Assyrian Education in northern Iraq and the beginning of this experiment, as well as the importance of preserving the Assyrian language for its historical and cultural importance.

He also participated in the stationery distribution which presented by the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq to students of Assyrian Education in Erbil.

 

During his tour, the delegation also visited Alqosh Town in Nineveh Plain on Jan. 26th 2015 and reviewed the displaced families in a center and a look at the conditions of our People there, during the visit to the Nineveh Plain, he was accompanied by Dr. Duraid Hekmat the responsible for official Sennacherib branch of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, the adviser to the governor of Nineveh for minority affairs.

 

The afternoon of the same the delegation visited the headquarters of Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq in Dohuk and met members of executive board as for the most prominent projects of Society and its role in reducing the suffering of our displaced people in the last events and future projects. As the delegation of congressman Mr. Frank Wolf was included Mr. Anderson Bauer, Mr. Kenneth Everett, Ms. Alicia Brown and Ms. Elin Voun.
