On Oct. 31st 2016, a delegation from the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq  headed by Mr. Ashur Eskrya President of AASI, and accompanied by Mr. Imad Dadiza Representative of AASI in Erbil, Mr. William Esho responsible for Relief & humanitarian affairs of AASI, as well as Mr. Jacob Gewargis deputy in KRG Parliament, Mr. Idres Mirza head of Erbil branch for Assyrian Democratic Movement and Mr. Marqus Eramia the responsible for Kalih branch for the ADM, where the delegation went in an inspection visit to the liberated town of our people in Baghdida (Qaraqush) and Karamles village in Nineveh Plains region, and were received by the commander of Nineveh Plain Protection Unit, Gen. Behnam Abbush and Col. Jawad, in which the field visit of AASI president and the delegation to the liberated area comes in order to see the size of massive destruction suffered by churches, institutions and government buildings and houses of citizens in the region and estimating the time takes to bring life to the liberated areas and ways to return the displaced families to the Nineveh plain. where these areas for more than two years and 3 months have been largely destroyed by the terrorist organization of ISIS (Daesh). Where it is worth mentioning that Baghdida town and Karamles are located in the south-eastern side of Nineveh plains, one of the areas that have been liberated several days ago by the Iraqi army and with the participation of the Nineveh Plain Protection Unit.
